Her work, mainly in video but also photography, installation, and works on paper, is characterized by the constant search for dialogue between the poetic text and image. Her practice feeds on intimate and familial references, everyday objects, and children, referring to universal themes such as beauty, solitude, and love.
Alongside international exhibitions of her own work, she has participated in numerous publications and presentations about the work of her father, filmmaker, illustrator, novelist and poet Ahmed Bouanani (1938-2011).
